The Opportunity

A well-established and growing Wealth Management Practice is seeking an experienced Training & Development Manager to join their team. This role has become available following a recent departure and offers the opportunity to take ownership of training delivery while shaping the development of advisers and support staff.

This is a key hire for the business, ideal for someone with strong SJP experience and a passion for developing people within a wealth management environment.


The Role

As Training & Development Manager, you will:

  • Design and deliver training programmes across the business
  • Support the development of Associate Wealth Managers and advisers
  • Coach individuals on SJP processes, systems, and best practice
  • Identify skill gaps and implement structured development plans
  • Deliver both 1-1 coaching and group training sessions
  • Play a key role in onboarding and ongoing learning initiatives

There is also scope to shape the role depending on your experience and seniority.


Salary & Benefits

  • £35,000 – £45,000 basic salary
  • Potential flexibility up to ~£50,000 for exceptional candidates

Requirements

  • Essential: Previous experience within St. James’s Place (SJP)
  • Proven background in training, coaching, or development within financial services
  • Strong understanding of SJP processes and adviser journey
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Ability to engage and develop individuals at varying levels

Desirable:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards)
  • Experience in a Training Manager or L&D role

Note: Experienced L&D Coaches without a management title will be considered, with the opportunity to step into a more senior position.


Working Pattern

  • Hybrid working model
  • Typically 4 days in the office during probation, reducing thereafter
  • Some flexibility depending on experience and business needs
