Senior Paraplanner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our Technical Unit and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality financial planning advice across the business. This is a technically focused position, ideal for someone who enjoys complex casework, research, and contributing to the ongoing development of advice processes.

You will work closely with Advisers, the Managing Director, and the wider technical team to ensure all client recommendations are accurate, compliant, and delivered to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, compliant client reports within agreed timescales

  • Support the creation of client portfolio reviews

  • Respond to technical queries from clients and advisers

  • Build and maintain detailed client cashflow models

  • Assist with updating preferred provider panels, including ongoing monitoring of recommended structures and providers

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard reports, RWLs, templates, and technical tools

  • Support the training and development of other team members across all advice areas

  • Produce technical bulletins for clients and introducers when relevant

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum CII Diploma (or equivalent), including pension planning papers

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar paraplanning role within financial services

  • Strong working knowledge of pensions

  • Competent user of Excel (intermediate level)

Desirable:

  • Progress toward Advanced Diploma or Chartered Status

  • Experience mentoring or training junior paraplanners or administrators
