Mortgage & Protection Administrator
Location: Horsham (Office?Based)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Holiday: 23 days + bank holidays (rising to 25)
We are recruiting for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Administrator to join a successful and fast?paced financial services team based in Horsham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mortgage/protection admin experience who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys providing first?class customer service, and can confidently manage cases from application through to completion.
The Role
You will support advisers with all aspects of mortgage and protection administration, ensuring client files are processed accurately, compliantly, and within agreed timescales. You will also act as a key point of contact for clients, lenders and conveyancers, taking ownership of queries and driving cases to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Submitting and progressing mortgage applications through to legal completion
- Submitting and progressing protection applications
- Chasing all required documentation, ensuring files are fully compliant
- Liaising with solicitors for exchange/completion updates
- Requesting medical information from GP surgeries when required
- Managing client emails and maintaining strong relationships with repeat clients
- Acting as the first contact point for clients, lenders, and conveyancers
- Updating and maintaining internal systems and client files
- Supporting advisers and ensuring all activities meet FCA and compliance standards
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 1 year of mortgage and/or protection administration
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational ability with a methodical, accurate approach
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Self?motivated, professional and a strong team player
- High levels of integrity and attention to detail
