Paraplanner
Salary: Up to £50,000
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 1 day per week in Bristol office)
A well-regarded and growing UK financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its collaborative and client-focused team. The Opportunity
Working closely with Financial Planners, you will play a key role in delivering tailored and compliant financial advice to clients. This position offers a broad and varied workload across pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning, along with involvement in ongoing client servicing and annual reviews.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality, compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Support the preparation of annual client reviews, including Annual Suitability Assessments
- Conduct detailed technical research across pensions, investments, tax wrappers, and protection products
- Liaise with providers to obtain policy information, illustrations, and valuations
- Assist advisers with pre- and post-client meeting support
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, including AML checks and client due diligence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within internal systems
- Collaborate with advisers, administrators, and compliance teams to ensure excellent client outcomes
- Contribute to improving paraplanning processes and report templates
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within a UK financial planning firm
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent) – essential
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions (DB & DC), ISAs, GIAs, bonds, trusts, and protection
- Solid understanding of FCA regulations and suitability requirements
- Proven experience producing high-quality suitability reports
- Familiarity with financial planning tools (e.g. Intelligent Office, Voyant, FE Analytics)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to high-net-worth or complex client cases
- Experience with cashflow modelling and tax planning strategies
- Previous involvement in a firm undergoing growth or structural change
