Protection Administrator – IFA Firm

Location: Horsham, West Sussex (Office?based)
Salary: £28,000 – £33,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Benefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25), pension, nearby parking


About the Company

We are a successful, growing Independent Financial Advisory firm based in Horsham, West Sussex, known for providing high?quality financial planning and outstanding client care. As our protection division continues to expand, we are now looking for a Protection Administrator to join our friendly and professional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, mortgages or similar, who wants to develop specialist skills within the protection space.


The Role

As a Protection Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our advisers and ensuring clients receive a smooth and professional service. You’ll be responsible for managing protection cases end?to?end, including:

  • Life insurance
  • Critical illness cover
  • Income protection
  • Private medical insurance

This is a fast?paced and highly detailed role, perfect for someone organised, proactive, and keen to take ownership of their workload.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage protection applications from submission through to completion and post?completion
  • Liaise with insurers, clients and advisers to gather outstanding information and progress applications
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with FCA requirements
  • Respond to client queries professionally and promptly, providing clear updates throughout
  • Monitor pipelines and proactively chase outstanding cases
  • Ensure internal systems and client files are updated and maintained
  • Uphold exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when handling client information

Experience & Skills

  • Strong administrative background (financial services or insurance beneficial)
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer?service approach
  • Highly organised with a methodical, accurate work style
  • Able to manage multiple cases and work under pressure
  • Professional, self?motivated, and confident taking ownership of tasks
  • A reliable team player with strong integrity and attention to detail
