About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our central Paraplanning team as a Trainee Paraplanner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within financial planning and wealth management.
You will work closely with Financial Advisers and experienced Paraplanners, supporting the research, analysis, and preparation of financial planning reports while developing your technical knowledge and working towards professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting Paraplanners with research and analysis of financial planning solutions

Assisting in the preparation of suitability reports and recommendation letters

Gathering and analysing client information (fact-finds, existing policies, cashflow data)

Conducting product and fund research using provider platforms and research tools

Preparing review documentation and client meeting packs

Liaising with providers to obtain technical and policy information

Ensuring compliance documentation is accurate and complete

Maintaining up-to-date client records on internal systems
Skills & Experience
Essential:

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Excellent attention to detail

Strong written communication skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload
Desirable:

Previous experience in financial services (administrator or similar role)

Progress towards CII Level 4 Diploma (or willingness to study)

Understanding of pensions, investments, and protection products
