HR Manager

Location: Edinburgh (Office Based)
Salary: Competitive / Dependent on Experience

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our growing team in Edinburgh. This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to shape and develop the HR function while supporting the business through all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with the company’s values and growth plans.

A background within financial services would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to onboarding and offboarding.

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, liaising with recruitment agencies, arranging interviews and supporting hiring managers.

  • Lead the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.

  • Manage all employee administration, including contracts, offer letters, probation reviews and personnel records.

  • Oversee leaver processes, including exit interviews and ensuring all administration is completed accurately.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and GDPR.

  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.

  • Support performance management, employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate training and development activities where required.

  • Ensure HR documentation and processes remain compliant and up to date.

  • Support wider business projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within an HR, People or Office Management role.

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional, approachable and discreet when handling confidential information.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Experience within financial services, wealth management or professional services would be advantageous.

  • HR qualifications (CIPD or equivalent) are welcomed but not essential.
